Living with ADHD/ASD

Being neurodiverse can affect people's lives in many different ways.  Counselling can help navigate issues (e.g. anxiety or relationship issues) that may arise from being neurodiverse and there is also a lot of additional support available for both neurodivergent people and their families/carers.

How can counselling/therapy help people with ADHD/ASD?

Counselling provides a supportive, non-judgemental space to process emotions, identify negative thought patterns, build confidence/self-esteem, devise strategies for managing issues that neurodivergence may impact on in daily life, reduce shame and stigma, practise emotional regulation and any other issues that may arise during sessions.
